Castle Rock was just a landmark

1950 or 1965: 3rd and Wilcox Street, Castle Rock.  This is a reproduction of a postcard, which described Castle Rock as a landmark on highway 85/87 between Denver and Colorado Springs.  Published by the Sanborn Souvenir Company.  The shop signs read "B&B CafĂ©" "Bob's Food Market" "Rexall Drug Store" "Rock in Cafe" and "Stricker Gas and Appliance."
